About Gary Markowitz, M.D.
Dr. Markowitz is a pediatric ophthalmologist whose practice focus includes routine, medical and surgical eye care of simple and complicated eye problems in childhood including strabismus, amblyopia, lazy eye and tear duct abnormalities. Dr. Markowitz also performs adult eye muscle surgery to improve eye alignment of patients referred to him by their own eye doctor.
Dr. Markowitz went to medial school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and interned at Bryn Mawr Hospital of Thomas Jefferson University. His fellowship was done at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. He completed residency in The Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in ophthalmology.
